Reported on web form, but reproduced here just in case.  (Since the site is
moving to SF, I'm not sure what may end up lost in the transition.)

0.4.2 has an issue with USB drives.  The image completes its boot and
declares itself unable to find a CDRom at least 4 full seconds *before* the
system detects my USB CDRom, Disks, and Keys.  

There needs to be an 8 second wait inserted into the linuxrc (in the initrd
image) immediately after loading the USB drivers.  This will give the system
enough time to recognize USB devices that are slow to be registered.
Alternately, you could use a boot parameter (waitusb) in the boot command,
test for it in linuxrc, and wait only if present.
