Just put an 'a' extension in your dialplan (on modern versions of asterisk)
pointed to VoicemailMain. Just dial in to your system, go to your own VM, and
hit * while you listen to your own greeting. You should then go right into
VoiceMailMain to retrieve/manage your messages.

For instance, add an extension like this one in the appropriate context:

exten => a,1,VoicemailMain
exten => a,n,Hangup

The syntax on this may not be perfect (I'm away from a computer at the moment),
but that's the basic idea.

Subject: [Astlinux-users] dialin voicemail access

I would like to be able to dial into my asterisk server from a standard
POTS phone, press # or * to interrupt my voicemail greeting, and check
my voicemail after entering in a security code. Is it possible to set
this up on astlinux? I was unable to dig up any howtos on the mailing
lists, or asterisk forums, or voip-info.org

-Seth
