Bevan,
Codec-free g729 + voicemail is a tricky beast. Let me see if I can
remember everything...
1) Make sure the only format you are recording in is g729:
format=g729
2) Turn off silence detection:
maxsilence=0
That should do it!
I strongly advise against running the g729 codec on a Soekris. At
best, you will be able to transcode a couple of calls (2). After that,
well, I'm sure you can guess what happens :).
