Hello Peter,

in my branch (ischraub) you can find libtiff+iaxmodem. I had it running
a while ago. Although Kristian recently announced that iaxmodem should
be in the current trunk, I could not find it there (maybe I
misunderstood something - sorry for that).

In order to get iaxmodem running, a modification to uClibc must be made!
I've already given that information to Kristian.

Since I haven't had hylafax running on another system, I experimented
with eFax. eFax is quite old, not maintained anymore (seems at least it
isn't..). The combination iaxmodem + hylafax should give you a great
solution. However, you have to run hylafax on a different server than
Astlinux.

I am currently working on the spandsp implementation together with
rxfax/txfax. Code for ECM has been introduced recently and it comments I
have seen so far were promising. Nevertheless, most likely
iaxmodem+hylfax remains the most reliable combination.

regards,

Ingmar
