        I did this for Star2Star a while ago:

        Here is what you get:

- gzipped ISO image (with Windows autorun support)

- Pre-configured CentOS 4.4 VMWare image with all required packages (on ISO)

- ncurses-based frontend to building, upgrading, and configuring the 
development environment (in VMWare image)

- Linux and Windows installers for VMWare player.  If you are planning 
to be more serious, I suggest that you install VmWare Server.  I would 
have included it, but I don't have an agreement with VMWare to do so.

        Right now, the environment is setup to build 0.4.  It is trivial to 
configure it to build trunk (or soon - 0.5).  I'll post a link to it 
with some instructions on astlinux.org soon.

        This could be better, but I whipped it up in an afternoon while trying 
to prepare for Astricon Dallas.
