Tom,
I did this for Star2Star a while ago:
http://dev.star2star.com/files/s2sade.iso.gz
Here is what you get:
- gzipped ISO image (with Windows autorun support)
- Pre-configured CentOS 4.4 VMWare image with all required packages (on ISO)
- ncurses-based frontend to building, upgrading, and configuring the
development environment (in VMWare image)
- Linux and Windows installers for VMWare player. If you are planning
to be more serious, I suggest that you install VmWare Server. I would
have included it, but I don't have an agreement with VMWare to do so.
Right now, the environment is setup to build 0.4. It is trivial to
configure it to build trunk (or soon - 0.5). I'll post a link to it
with some instructions on astlinux.org soon.
This could be better, but I whipped it up in an afternoon while trying
to prepare for Astricon Dallas.
