I currently have an Epia 5000 based system but the wife is complaining it's too
big as it currently sits in the living room. I have been toying with the idea
of getting a PCEngine 1E as I should easily be able to hide it from view so was
just after a few thoughts on them.
I did look at the Soekris but they are quite expensive in the Uk.

I use mostly WRAP boards these days... The first build of AstLinux was
for the WRAP.
Personally, I have a few that I use. I have anywhere from 1-5 phones
behind them. They work perfectly.
Professionally, we have a few sites with at least 12 phones behind them
without issue. This is with doing full QoS, iptables, SNMP, etc.
Here are some load test results for AstLinux 0.4.2 on the Soekris
net4801, which is practically identical to the WRAP:
