AFAIK
DOM != DOC
i'm using a DH0128M88RF1 (DOM 432LFD) which is
perfectly IDE compatible and does't need any special modules.
m-systems DiskOnChip, however, needs a couple of MTD modules -
at least if you want to access it ("see it") under linux.
modules like mtdcore.o, diskonchip.o, nand.o, nftl.o and such
are required for 2.4.x kernel. MTD stuff is also part
of the 2.6.x kernel.
if you only want to boot off the DOC (kernel and initrd ... actually
i dont know if astlinux can be booted that way) you can
make it DOS bootable with the m-system DOCTools and use
linld
(LINLD [image=<file>] [initrd=<file>] [vga=vgamode] [cl=<kernel cmdline>])
to start linux.
funny... when i access m-systems website, i'm redirected
to sandisk. something must have happened to the market.
cheers
Harry
