I did try "sip reload" and nothing happened (no response), and local SIP still failed. From previous experience, rebooting would not work either. My AstLinux box uses m0n0wall's local DNS proxy, but possibly the TTL expired on one of the lookups. FYI, my /etc/asterisk/dnsmgr.conf is all commented out (ie. empty).
