So at this point, thanks for the great help here...
1. I added and ran my own PHP scripts
2. I reclaimed the unused space on the CF card to create a new partition 
with the intention of saving voicemail and the SQLite DB, once I get this 
added to the installation
3. Since compiling was failing, I reran "make menuconfig" to remove the OSS 
echo canceler "oslec". I might not need it, and I doubt a Pentium 233MHz is 
enough to run this type of number crunching anyway... and am waiting for 
compiling to end, or show another error further down the road.
