Thanks to the great help here, I successfully built my very own Astlinux
from the trunk with support for SQLite, copied it to a CF card, and booted
a PC with it :-) I'll clean up the notes I took, and post a step-by-step
instruction for newbies like me tomorrow.

A few questions, though:

1. By default, the whole root filesystem is read-only, so my PHP scripts
can't write to the DB file in /var/www . What would be a practical way to
solve this? Move the web server's to the read-write /dev/sdd2? Create a
symlink to it? Other ideas?

2. Out of curiosity, has someone tried the other two web servers that come
with AstLinux, namely Lighttpd and appweb?

3. Does AstLinux support other keyboard layouts besides US English? How
would I change it, and make it sticky so I don't have to rerun the command
with every reboot?

4. When booting up, AstLinux says "Something else is wrong with /dev/sdd2.
Run e2fsch", although running it makes no difference at the next reboot.

Thank you.
