I currently have this, but asturw=/dev/hda3, since I had first tried 
method #2  with the keydisk on /dev/hda2 with similar results

I will go through the exercise again, but logic ( not always correct ) 
tells me that it really shouldn't make a difference if the genunion 
script points to hda2 or hda3

I believe I used your, or someones postings, from 2/18 as well as the 
web page examples to get where I am.

The error message I reported is the real puzzle

Will try again and report back.
