The "extra-sounds" can be added a number of different ways, none of 
which require a package.  You might use unionfs, but there is some disk 
io penalty compared to a ram disk.  If you want to include those as part 
of the image, you can select the option in the build environment to go 
through a menu-select step when the Asterisk package is built.  A third 
way (probably the best way) is to edit the menuselect.makeopts file in 
the base directory of your Astlinux svn.  You may need to deselect other 
packages or make the image size larger than the current default of 90MB 
(when uncompressed).  The MENUSELECT_EXTRA_SOUNDS line is the one that 
needs to be edited.  You may need to go through a 'make menuselect' step 
in the Asterisk directory to decipher what needs to go on that line.

Asterisk-addons will be more difficult.  There are several deps that are 
not currently in place.  Which specific addons are you interested in?
