I have an Alix board and Astlinux does indeed take this long to boot. When
I was researching building my home gateway/PBX I think I looked at Askozia.
As I recall i didn't select it because it was a PBX-only solution, and I
wanted a single-box solution for my PBX and home gateway/firewall solution.
Having used Astlinux in production (ok, so a single family home is hardly a
heavy load) for several months I have come to appreciate it's flexibility.
I like that I can build a custom version from source so I can keep up with
some fast moving components (like the various GUIs) and I like the
linux-base (Askozia is BSD) which provides for a lot of flexibility.
Oh... and I especially like the responsiveness and attitude of the
developers who are always very helpful.
Besides, how often do you plan to reboot the device anyway?
