Hi All astlinux-users, Many thanks for the explanations about my question regarding the boot time. This weekend I started again to use astlinux and found the two times booting process.
The first thing I asked myself, did I something wrong during the install? A year or so in the past I did used astlinux version 4.. or so and I must say there is a lot changed. Before, with the older versions I had not the guts to learn the asterisk scripting. Now we have the asterisk-gui and the new astlinux gui. Looks an good improvement for an embedded system. And the more or less lazy sys-admin ;-) So as some of you already mentioned, boot time is not an issue when rebooting once in a few months. On of the costumers of my company has an commercial pbx and this equipment (astronomical $$) has a boot time around 20 minutes!!! For now I will start using astlinux as my home pbx, get using to it and follow the mailing list. I am not an programmer only sysadmin, so the help to develop astlinux is not much. Maybe I can help to translate some things to Dutch, my native language, in the future. When I have some questions I will post them.
