I got the following error message. As I have read that most developers
of astlinux use Ubuntu, I have setup
a virtual system Ubuntu 8.10. Kernel is 2.6.27.-9-generic. The reason
while I do not use the ready to use
system is the fact, that I want to use a Fritz!Card for EuroISDN which
is no longer supported. So if I want to
use it, I am forced to build the system from the SVN sources. I googled
about that error, but all the answers
seemed to have nothing to do with the problem. This error in Setup
happens in the defining part of the
subroutines and the script never started to work. I worked hours to
check where the problem could be without
success and was very close to give up. I talked with my colleagues and
one proposed to replace /bin/sh with /bin/bash. And it worked!!!!
As I am not (yet) deeply involved in the development of astlinux, I
hope that someone will care for it and
correct it in the sources if it is not a problem Ubuntu 8.10 which I use.
