Hi,

There is also license issues involving IPP re-distribution of IPP librarires
and other code based on it.

http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-integrated-performance-primitives-faq/

Best way seems to involve getting enough number of OEM licenses from G729
licensors and create some type of G729 licensing scheme of AstLinux.

Note: there is a bounty in Freeswitch to get together a total of 5000
license units and buy with OEM pricing, but they still are in 1400. Details
at: http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Bounty

I am not sure there are enough people on AstLinux who would want this?
Maybe some hardware G729 card can be an option?
