I think the concern is for those of us who don't use Astlinux as a
firewall - who use our PBX only as a PBX and leave the routing to other
devices.  In this instance, your only real option is to use the external
interface *only* since you can't (at least not as far as I've been able
to find) assign a default gateway to an internal interface.
