Not sure I understand the reluctance to including a link to
astlinux.org, it is afterall the 'astlinux' domain and therefore
under control of the developers... The same folks that could update
the GUI if anything ever changes.

You always come back to suggesting the user configurable link on the
prefs page. So what is one to do if you want a link to both the
astlinux documentation and the asterisk GUI (which isn't even
external, so I see no reason why it could not be better handled by the
astlinux GUI).

As for network configuration at the astlinux box, I don't think it is
unreasonable to assume that it can get to the astlinux.org domain.
Afterall it needs internet access to get to SIP trunks.

If it is really unacceptable to put a link to astlinux.org then how
about including documentation in the build image. Yes I know you have
declined to do this in the past because an embedded solution shouldn't
need it and because space in the image is constrained. But, the
astlinux GUI really could use some basic help info (even just tooltips
would do) and basic help would hardly take much space. But if it does
the how about doing the same as was just implemented for sounds. Give
the option to download them.

Sorry if I am ranting on here, but Tom made an excelent suggestion and
I have suggested in the past that the GUI should have some help info.
I just don't understand the reasons why a development team apparently
regards easy access to documentation and help info such a bad thing.
