Tod, In the web interface... Network Tab -> External SMTP Smart Host: There are 6 "SMTP..." settings. No need to edit the rc,conf file if you are using the web interface for external SMTP relay support. > It did not occur to me to look into > editing the contents of rc.conf. > > One question on that: I see a bunch of restart/reload options on the > "edit" page but none directly state they are appropriate for use after > editing rc.conf. Both the Network tab and System tab support a "System Reboot", in addition the System tab supports a scheduled reboot within the next 24 hours. When using the web interface, and you need to define variables that the web interface does not directly support, click on... Network Tab -> Advanced Configuration: -> User System Variables: {Edit User Variables} This edits the "/mnt/kd/rc.conf.d/user.conf" file. When concatenated with the other rc.conf.d/* files, it overrides any previously set variable(s). Also, when using the CLI, keep this in mind: http://doc.astlinux.org/userdoc:tt_editable_files Lonnie > I ended up using the command > line to issue a reboot command to get the email settings to "take".
