John,
Did you read the upgrade notes?
I did read through all of the notes
Specifically look at the notes for
0.7.0 from 0.6.x. There are some notable changes dealing with the firewall.
Perhaps this is my misunderstanding, but the firewall is disabled, or is it?
In this application we don't intend to use the firewall, and don't in
0.6.5 either
SSH into the machine works, but PSFTP no joy
You'll need to run a few scripts which will update some of the configuration files.
So simply following the upgrade instructions isn't enough? They say
that IF you used the firewall in 0.6, the do the 5 steps.
No firewall was used in 0.6.5
Sorry to be so thick, but if I can get in with SSH, should not psftp
also be allowed?
psftp> open 172.16.0.47

Using username "root".

That's probably where your problems originate.

The geni-586 version
In upgrading from 0.6.5 to 0.7.1 I can no longer use psftp, either the
PuTTY version, or the one I really like by Bitvise
Opening a PSFTP window and it immediately closes
Reverting back to 0.6.5 and all is well.
Anyone have an idea what's up and what might have changed?
Keep it simple please!!
