About the only modules currently missing from AstLinux that are in a
standard Asterisk build are g729_codec (note that pass thru works, just
not transcoding), Skype, Fax for Asterisk and res_snmp. Several of the
modules in asterisk-addons _could_ be made to work, there just never was
enough demand to do so. AstLinux really was never meant to have full
database support which is why the mysql support was never added. I
suppose you _could_ use mysql on a separate server without having issues
related to excessive writes to the CF card.

All other standard Asterisk features are there.

One of the goals with developing the next base for AstLinux is to allow
use of the binary-only modules from Digium (or other third parties).

As Michael pointed out, nothing in AstLinux prevents use of T.38 other
than the version of Asterisk. (1.4 only supports pass-thru).
