Hi Tom, The mail queue (msmtpqueue) is a fairly recent addition to AsLinux, previous to that, undeliverable email was simply dropped.
The status of the mail queue is shown by typing: $ msmtpqueue Every time a new email is sent the queue is flushed (tries to anyway), and should an error occur it will retry every 5 minutes. There are cases where "msmtp" returns a benign error which is not 'queue worthy' (64 for example), possibly there is another that should be added to that list. My advice is to occasionally checkin to that box, and if you get results other than... $ msmtpqueue Mail queue is empty take a look at /var/log/messages... $ grep 'msmtpqueue' /var/log/messages for clues and report back.
