Hi Ron

Thanks for the extremely kind, and unwarranted, shout-out. The devs
deserve the credit, having done all the work, and also having written
virtually all the wiki - I've just tweaked. Out of interest, did you
either use, or think of using, or were you not aware of, the Windows
installer? I'm not sure I've updated the wiki to describe it. Thanks
for reminding me.

Regards

Tom

Subject: Re: [Astlinux-users] AstLinux 0.7.8 Release

I just did my first from-scratch build of a CF card in quite some time.
I had created a bunch of CF cards probably 18 months ago and since then
had just been updating them to newer versions of Astlinux.

So, I ran out of those cards, and had to create a new one. I dug through
my notes to find the multi-page details of how to do it. Having not done
this in quite a while, I expected a struggle remembering all the bits I
forgot to write down. I allocated a full day to doing this.

Then I found the documentation, and the new web page for doing the
genunion/genkd process. And I'm done in less than an hour !

My compliments to the devs and to the documentation effort, Tom Chadwin,
if I'm not mistaken, for really streamlining this process.

Ron
