Julian, The output from the command "dmesg" might be useful...
But it appears the Vortex86 SoC requires Linux kernel 2.6.28+ for proper support. Our RUNNIX bootloader uses kernel 2.6.26 and AstLinux currently uses kernel 2.6.27. My guess is that the SD card is not mounting since the IDE subsystem is not supported for kernel reasons.
