Hi Michael, If you want to build your own custom images, I'd be happy to tell you how to enable res_http_post. (should be quite easy)
Another option, give us some time to look into adding a build option, then support it for build.astlinux.org. That process will take awhile. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and investigating the solution.
