Is LDAP integration possible with Prosody? We currently run Openfire (with
the Asterisk plug-in for "on the phone" automatic status changes), but this
could allow us to drop it in favour of Astlinux. However, Openfire gets its
users from Active Directory, which we need.

On smaller boxes mostly the RAM could be the limiting factor, as per c2s
connection about 0,5 MB RAM is needed (through OpenSSL).
But if you could do some scalability tests that would be great :-).

AstLinux as the server, it would all be handled locally. But if a message
to [email protected] was received by AstLinux then it would try to deliver it via
a "Server-to-Server Connection", much like how SMTP and MX records do it,
XMPP and SRV records make it happen.
