Hi Ryan,

I have an old net5501 with a APC Back-UPS ES 550 connected to it, uptime of 26
days and syslog only shows:
--
Jan 12 08:31:30 voip1 user.info kernel: usbhid: USB HID core driver
Jan 12 08:31:30 voip1 user.info kernel: usb 2-1: new low speed USB device using
ohci_hcd and address 2
Jan 12 08:31:30 voip1 user.info kernel: generic-usb 0003:051D:0002.0001:
hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [APC Back-UPS ES 550 FW:843.K2 .D USB FW:K2 ] on
usb-0000:00:15.0-1/input0
--

I would try a different USB cable, preferably with a ferrite core on it, and
possibly rearrange the USB cable to minimize interference.

On my test bed I witnessed USB resets when the UPS went off line (I pulled the
plug) but when the USB cable was moved and was not draped/touching over the UPS
the resets went away.
