Yes, I found both the N2800 and D2550 had a performance increase (as tested by Alessandro Torrisi's PHP benchmark script) over a D525. I suspect the faster memory clock on the N2800 and D2550 (DDR3-1066) vs the D525 (DDR3-800).
Though personally, the lower power (less heat) of the N2800 and D2550 is an equally nice feature. So many factors play in what makes the "best" AstLinux appliance.
