Hi John,

You must be using an old version of AstLinux, since it uses /dev/sda for quite 
some time.

If DSL boots, a "lspci -v" might help.

I'd try the just released 1.1.6 image, if nothing else just as a data point.

The bottom line is the chipset and the IDE or SATA disk subsystem needs to be 
recognized by the RUNNIX kernel in order to mount the /dev/sda1 vfat partition.
