John thanks for yours and Lonnies help it is much appreciated.

Just had a bit of time with the system trying to follow a bit more of the new
installation set up, just added the moh package.

Got lost immediately when it came to adding a phone

I went to the IP phone provisioning Getting started page, and immediately hit
a problem, I installed the default templates and it gives me a few types of
phone. snon 320, SPA942, Yealink T2x T3x etc (2 line) and yealink T2x T3x.

So in trying to figure out which template to use I have done a bit of
searching

The SPA942 seems to be 4 line 2 port devices which is way above the old
Grandstream stuff.

snon 320 seems to be a possible one to pick as does the Yealink T2x.

So I guess I will try these two and see.

John if you and your colleges are using the system to connect old telephones I
guess you are using an ATA, if so what configuration do you select for these.

This is harder then I remember.

By the way I am doing this because I like playing and I can see in the future
having to understand about Asterisk as part of radio systems I have to woprk
on, but like all else, you have to learn it in own time.

Cheers Folks

Adrian
