Perhaps it's late and brain not working correctly, but I have assumed that
astlinux runs up in to ram, that way the flash does not get written to a lot.
I undertsand that the conf files are all in flash, but I was thinking that
voicemail, mail and cdr logs will also be in ram and will get lost when
rebooted or power loss etc.

/var/spool/asterisk/mail and /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail and
/var/log/asterisk/cdr-csv/ etc

I did a reboot of the thin client and everything was still there, even a power
off and back on keeps all the files.

Just re-read the installation docsa and see the persistent storage
options/setup. Would it be possible or practical to have various items stored
in ram? such as voicemail, the cdr? and the mail? on a simple home system
these would not be as important as in a business environment.

Cheers

Adrian
