In the HP thin client family, in addition to that site, HP 5720, 5725, 5730 all
work as well as the 5740 though the 5740 requires a 19 volt power supply unlike
all the others
The latest image also works with the 5630.
I believe there may be one HP thin client, a really small one, that is an ARM
processor that won't work, but most of the TC's that can be found on eBay at (
sometimes ) really low prices will work nicely.
The early units with small flash will need to be upgraded to 512K flash though.
Plug compatible flash can be had for around $20 US
I even have a few nodes working with a small non replaceable 128 meg ram,
though I wouldn't try a bunch of calls at once through one of those.

Regardless, the EEEPC does not seem like a good hardware match for AstLinux...
if you are looking to recycle old hardware take a look at some x86 thin clients
that would be a better match. Search the mailing-list archives here for some
that are known to work.
