I have a need to be able to pulse dial on T1 channels configured for E&M
signalling. (Don't ask! :))

Looking at the DAHDI code, it appears that what is needed to do this is
to turn on the compile time option EMPULSE. I'm looking for information
about how to do that.

I'm completely comfortable with recompiling the module after editing the
config file, but my PC, where I would recompile, is not the same
architecture as the my astlinux box. (My PC has a 64 bit AMD Athlon,
whereas I'm using an HP thin client for astlinux which actually has a
Transmeta CPU in it. Moreover, the kernel versions are different.)

What is the simplest/easiest way to accomplish this? Do I have to
download the whole Astlinux distro and the build environment? Thanks in
advance for any pointers.

Martin
