Hi group Not sure if anyone is aware but Australia is currently undergoing a very significant broadband refresh. This refresh is replacing all copper based services with fibre and other technologies and will significantly impact all sites with current analogue services such as Fax, EFTPOS, Alarm etc.
Obviously there is significant opportunity here for the Astlinux appliance of which I intend to make full use of. I am however a little concerned about what to do with existing analogue services in particular fax lines. Just wondering what options are generally used outside this country for providing these services other than a hosted solution. Does T.38 passthrough work ok with Asterisk? Thanks in anticipation.
