Hi Lonnie,

sorry I forgot it is npt really astlinux but a simple debian with Asterisk
1.8.8.2.

The command "acl show" doesn't exist, there is no acl.conf on the device.

But I have a astlinux machine here running with Asterisk 1.8.32.3 where the
problem doesn't exist and also there is no acl.conf file and the command "acl
show" doesn't exist.

I have one suspect: ON astlinux machine there is a setting called "domain" in
network tab. This setting was set to the IP address of the machine itself.
Perhaps this setting is the solution. Can you tell me where this setting is
stored in which file?

Stefan,

This sounds like an Asterisk question, rather then AstLinux per. se., but
possible we can get you on the right path.

What version of Asterisk ? I'll assume 11.x

What is the generated syslog error/warning ? Something like

--

Forbidden - wrong password on authentication for REGISTER for '%s' to '%s'

--

Do you have any "Named ACLs" defined via acl.conf ? From the Asterisk CLI "acl
show" if any issue a "acl show <name>" for entries.

I'm not certain, but an ACL failure could generate a Forbidden 403 your are
describing.

Lonnie
