Yes, I think it was a one-off. I have never seen it before nor been able
to reproduce the problem. It could have been caused by poor connection at
the UPS end of the cable (which is an RJ45) when I first brought it back
up... I have a feeling that the RJ45 was not properly inserted at first).
But once in the state where the linux foundation 3.0 root hub had not
loaded, it took a power-off/on cycle to get it to load. Very strange.
