Hi Michael, How about configuring the Mikrotik as an OpenVPN server using TCP and then configure AstLinux to be both an OpenVPN server using UDP (as you have) and an OpenVPN client using TCP to the Mikrotik.
Pushing the proper routes in the OpenVPN configs will be needed to get everyone talking. >From googling the Mikrotik can't do LZO compression either.
