Hi Michael,
I had the same issue years ago as well (in those scenarios). This might
be a timing issue in the PPPoE software (usr/sbin/pppoe-staus) after a
manual/scripted PPPoE restart or when the ISP forced a reconnect and the line
is not up again within a specific timeframe.
