Actually this explains how to create a monitor interface and to specify some flags (btw do you if there is a documentation for these options?). Instead i was more interested at the possibility to specify another descriptor instead of radiotap in particular the atheros descriptor. This descriptor allows you to specify 4 retries chains allowing you to implement rate control in user space (which is very useful for fast prototyping).
