<2Mbyte/s is for receiving from a samba Server.
for sending its a little more like 2.5 Mbyte/s.
with "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf I get
about 2.1-2.2 Mbyte/s receiving
