That's strange!
Most don't do that.
Magic Jack is considered voip phone not ip phone.
Let me do some digging when I get home and I will see what I can dig up. hmm, if through the network maybe some sorta software rigging. hmm, wonder if the phone has software that came with it.
hmm.

No it is not a standard phone jack.  The phones connect to the network.
