Hi.  You have to take it off the wall, remove the little door and then exchange 
the batteries.  The next challenge is to get it back on the wall correctly and 
tightly.  Mine wasn't all winter but, was just making enough contact to operate 
until I changed the batteries.  During a service call, the tech just snapped it 
back onto the wall.  I had to pay for that.  chuckle.

  Does anyone know how to change batteries in a talking thermostat?  Ours is 
telling us that the batteries are getting low.  It has never told us that 
before, so I don't know where they are.
