Subject: [blind-philly-comp] Interesting NVDA Addons
A company in the UK called Vict consultancy, available from
www.vict-consultancy.co.uk
released two add-ons for the NVDA screen reader a year or so ago, which
added a great deal of functionality to NVDA. One is called VTurbo and
the other is called VMouse. Some of the features are now built into
NVDA, whereas many others are unique to these programs. You can set up
hotkeys to click on certain parts of a window, have different profiles
for different applications, storing up to 50 entries in the find dialog
and many, many more features. These add-ons were reasonably priced,
around $5.00 per program, but the company is now offering them for free.
Go to the above link to download them, if you’re an NVDA user and would
like to try them out. I am not able to provide support on these programs
to readers who are not employees of ASB, but the programs do come with
documentation.
