I use it. Here is my article I wrote for our ATI News. Office Lenns by Microsoft. This is an OCR app so you can take a picture of something containing text like your mail and then have voice over read it to you. This is what the App KNFB reader does.
So far I have found it to be very accurit and the app is free and can be found on the apple app store. You take a picture of a some text within the app. Thend send the result to Microsoft word. There is a free version of Microsoft word on the app store also. Instructions for getting the App. 1. Download Office Lens. 2. Download Microsoft word if you need too. 3. Then you will need to signup for a microsoft account if you do not already have one. (free). You can use hot mail or outlook.com and other Microsoft accounts. You will only need the account once to register office lens. Then you can just forget about the account. Note: The free version of Microsoft Word is limited but will do just fine for reading the Office Lens data. _____ From: ATI [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2017 7:48 PM To: [email protected]; 'Adaptive technology information and support.' Subject: Re: [ATI] Microsoft Office Lens Hello, I am going to get an I Phone 6 S next week. I plan to purchase the KNFB reader pretty ssoon. Has anyone on the list used the app that Denny has mentioned in this email? I would really appreciate any information about this app and how it compares to the knfb reader. I will also be looking for any training or tutorials on the knfb reader if or when I decide to purchase. Thanks for any thoughts or advice.
