Ok, I can live with this. I still don't think MUST is needed, but it
doesn't hurt either.

If the server includes an entity in the response, the entity MUST be an
Atom entry document representing the newly-created resource, equivalent
to that which would appear in the collection's feed document.

This language makes sense to me. The initial "If" is intended as the out -- you don't have to return anything after creation or editing, but if you do, it has to be the entry that was just created/edited.
