>He's got a point. It's a common (and many people say, good) idiom to declare all your namespaces on your root. I think all we can/should really say is that when type="XHTML", it is the responsibility of the feed generator to declare the XHTML namespace, because Atom won't do it for you. -Tim
+1 on this, -1 on any additional suggestions in this thread. We are using XML with namespaces, and we shouldn't mess around with that.
