Well it depends. The basic paradigm for a feed is as a newswire of recently posted or updated entries, which works pretty well. For the netflix queue to work, you have to take a step beyond that and view the feed file as a document and not just an envelope. It's not necessarily a hack, but it's a totally different paradigm.
