The 'NVIDIA X-Server > Settings' window looks ok for 190.53 now, with GLX info reporting properly. > Reinstalling 195.26.15 didn't help. > > init 3 and init 5 aren't completing after starting clamd, but the # prompt > returns after <enter> > > Hardware is GeForce 7500 LE - which probably wouldn't benefit anyway... > > > It seems to me that your kmdl is not matching your libs. Try removing /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf.backup and reboot. I am not sure whether fedora ignores the .backup file or not. Anyway, I have a geforce 7600GT and the driver works, but mplayer with -vo gl (opengl output dirver). In this case, I get this message: [mpeg4 @ 0xe3d1a0]Invalid and inefficient vfw-avi packed B frames detected Could not find matching colorspace - retrying with -vf scale... Opening video filter: [scale] Movie-Aspect is 2.47:1 - prescaling to correct movie aspect. Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash. - MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug. -- Paulo Roma Cavalcanti LCG - UFRJ
