I pretty much always run the latest version of Fedora, including the
newest kernels / patches. My mythtv back-end "server" is running
Fedora 32-bit, as opposed to 64-bit. I always run 'nuvexport'
directly on my back-end system. I don't know if any of these details
matter, but as I indicated in my original post nuvexport w/ffmpeg has
very much been an on again / off again thing over the last few years.
I can't remember the last time nuvexport w/mencoder has not worked for
me. My past "solution" to the problem has been wait for a while and
then try it again, usually when I see new ffmpeg or mythtv packages
released. If I happen to come up with anything on my own I definitely
pass it along.

Thanks,
John
