I didn't stop, ffmpeg did. ;)

ffmpeg >= 0.6 wouldn't build for RHEL4 anymore, there is even an issue
raised at ffmpeg, but it won't be fixed. You need to upgrade make for
building on RHEL4. As this doesn't create any problems I upgraded make
on my buildsystems and there comes ffmpeg 0.6 for RHEL4 and clones! :)
(0.5.x for RHEL4 was always available, but probably not working for your
clips)
